Seekonk Youth Basketball is affiliated with Metro Basketball, a competitive league in which teams from other towns compete against each other on weekends.
The travel Program has a season which includes players from grades 4-8.
We place children on teams according to players’ ages and skills. The board of directors then makes the final decision for placement of the teams in groupings (“Divisions”) with other teams of roughly equal ability.
The Travel Program has a competitive focus, but still emphasizes fun, skill development, and reasonable participation, especially in the younger age groups.
Why does the Travel Program ask you to register so early?
The reason is because we are required to register our teams early. To insure that we get our teams placed in the league it is very important that the league receives the registration forms early. Teams will not be registered with if we do not have enough players to fill the rosters.
